Enrichment Week – Global Goal

The first week in July sees enrichment week for Years 7-10.

The curation of a bespoke timetable for each year group ensures that Global Learning, focusing on the UN sustainable development goals – Global Goals – ensures that all students experience a rich provision of sessions to build on curriculum time and enhance their learning.

Year 7, as well as enjoying camp, take part in sessions focusing on Life Below Water, including an offsite visit to a treatment plant and Art/STEM activities.

Year 8 have a focus on goal 4, Quality Education, exploring what an ideal school could look like as well as exploring British Values working with local charity Stand Against Violence.

Year 9 shifts to Goal 3, Good Health and Wellbeing, with a varied carousel including Yoga, a session on teamwork with the Army outreach programme, Mental Health awareness and Fair trade/ financial health.

Year 10 students spend the week exploring Goal 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, as they take part in their work experience placement, giving them a glimpse into the world of full time employment!
