Haygrove School Achieves Excellent Ranking on Fairer Schools Index
Haygrove School, part of the Quantock Education Trust, is delighted to announce its remarkable achievement of being ranked the second highest performing school in Somerset on the Fairer Schools Index. This accolade places Haygrove within the top 25% of secondary schools nationally, a testament to the School's and Trust's commitment to providing a supportive and enriching educational environment for all its students.
The Fairer Schools Index, developed to provide a more equitable measure of school performance, evaluates student progress using an ‘adjusted Progress 8’ metric. This approach considers additional contextual factors alongside students’ GCSE results, offering a fairer comparison of academic progress for pupils who began their education journey at similar levels by the end of Key Stage 2.
