Haygrove’s Bronze DofE Practice Expedition April 2024
Well done our Bronze D of E students who completed their practice expedition last weekend. On Friday evening the students put up tents in windy conditions, cooked a meal together and dealt with a cold night. After a frosty start on Saturday, students completed a challenging walking day in sunny weather on the Quantock Hills above Holford. The students represented themselves, their families and the school well. It was wonderful to receive an email from the campsite being very complimentary about the conduct of our students during their camp.
Thank you to our staff - Mr Owen, Mr Tracey, Mrs Whitlock, Mr Hellyer, Ms Knott, Mrs Frost and Mrs West - for giving their time and supporting our students. We are really looking forward to their Assessment Expedition, which is taking place on Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June on Exmoor.
